Job summary

Places for People Group, operating Places Leisure sites, is seeking an Assistant Swimming Teacher to support swimming lessons for babies to adults under the guidance of a Swimming Teacher. You will help learners develop skills and confidence in the water, potentially leading small groups and assisting in class management.

Must have Level 1 UKCC Swimming Teacher qualification (or equivalent) and an ability to work with children and as part of a team.

• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience assisting in swimming teaching/children's classes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons from babies to adults.
• Help learners develop skills and confidence in the water.

More about your role

As an Assistant Swimming Teacher you will support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons from babies to adults. You'll work closely with the Swimming Teacher in supporting swimmers develop their skills and confidence in the water. Within lessons, you may be responsible for a small group of learners learning a specific skill, under the direction of the Swimming Teacher
