Job summary

Places Leisure is hiring an Assistant Swimming Teacher to support swimming lessons for all ages, from babies to adults. You will work closely with the Swimming Teacher to help learners build skills and confidence in the water, and may lead a small group under supervision.

Must have or be working towards Level 1 UKCC Swimming Teacher qualification, with a passion for teaching children and working as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Teamwork and collaboration in a swimming class setting.
• Level 1 UKCC Swimming Teacher qualification, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons for babies to adults.
• Assist in developing learners' skills and confidence in the water.
• May lead a small group under the Swimming Teacher1s direction.

More About Your Role

As an Assistant Swimming Teacher you will support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons from babies to adults. You'll work closely with the Swimming Teacher in supporting swimmers develop their skills and confidence in the water. Within lessons, you may be responsible for a small group of learners learning a specific skill, under the direction of the Swimming Teacher

Preferred:

• Experience at assisting in swimming teaching/ children's classes.

Technical / Professional Qualifications:

• Level 1 UKCC Swimming Teacher qualification, or equivalent.
