Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching swimming preferred, but training is provided.

We will provide all the training needed to be a successful Swim Teacher but we also believe that employing people from a mix of employment backgrounds can offer a wider benefit to our team, some of which might be in their first ever job and need more support from their manager and colleagues.

In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons at Guildford Spectrum to customers of all ages and abilities ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.

Hours: Casual hours, as and when needed.

  • To assist children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
  • To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
  • To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
  • Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
  • Level 1 Swim Teaching qualification
