Assistant Surveyor - Year Placement - Building Surveying - London, United Kingdom
Our Team
Our Building Consultancy team provide technical advice and construction expertise to help navigate each stage of the building lifecycle. Work covers all areas of building surveying, from dilapidation advice to schedules of condition, due diligence to expert witness. Our team work with occupiers, investors, financiers and developers to provide advice on building performance, cost in use, future flexibility and compliance.
About the Role
We are looking for students studying a Building Surveying related degree to join the London office on a year’s placement. You will work within one of our business groups gaining real experience from day one. The role will be varied from going out on inspections to meeting clients throughout the UK. Our aim is to nurture creative and dynamic property consultants. You’ll receive support towards gaining APC competencies and you will be able to attend training days to further develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours so you can work towards your APC throughout your placement year. Please note - this placement position will start in September 2025 for 12 months.

Working Hours
The Firm’s core hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and you may choose to start and end your day around these hours, provided you still do your 7.25 hours per day. There is no requirement for this to be the same each day, but you are required to keep your manager informed. This position also involves working out of hours on an 'as necessary' basis. We are open to considering flexible working arrangements for everyone; this can be discussed during the application process or upon commencement.
