The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Surveyor to join our multidisciplinary team. You will assist in all aspects of Quantity Surveying and commercial management on a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of cost estimates and bills of quantities.
• Support with tender preparation, analysis, and reporting.
• Help to manage project budgets and monitor financial progress.
• Conduct site visits and collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Assist with preparing valuations and final accounts.
• Provide Project Management, Monitoring, and Contract Administration support.
• Learn and apply contract procedures and applicable construction law.
• Assist with other areas of surveying.

Requirements

• A degree (or working towards a degree) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience of at least one year in a Quantity Surveying or similar role.
• An eagerness to develop skills in other areas of surveying.
• A driving license and access to a vehicle.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with QS/take off software is a bonus.
• Eagerness to progress towards professional membership (MRICS).
