What you will be doing

Our work supports local and central government clients through large-scale national, European, and international monitoring, impact evaluations, communications, and grant management programs. We operate across various social policy areas such as education, employment, children, young people, families, health, and wellbeing.

Ecorys Survey provides data collection and delivery to support research, evaluation, and consultancy projects within the Policy and Research team, as well as our Communications and Project Management teams across the UK, Europe, and internationally.

You will assist in delivering diverse survey data collection projects for internal and external clients. This role offers valuable experience in a leading management consultancy environment.

This is a fixed-term (maternity cover) contract for one month, based in any of our UK offices in London, Birmingham, or Leeds, with a requirement to work 2 days per week in the office.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Supporting the survey Associate Director and team with daily survey center operations
  • Assisting with survey and data collection project management and providing holiday cover for team members
  • Handling requests from project managers and scripters, including helplines and inbox support for responders and face-to-face/telephone interviewers
  • Supporting internal clients with project queries
  • Data cleaning, survey checking, questionnaire timing, and data reviews
  • Reviewing electronic survey questionnaires for accuracy and learning technical review processes
  • Providing administrative support for data collection methods
  • Managing shift availability for telephone interviewers
  • Checking pay claims for telephone and field teams before payroll processing
  • Supporting quality control and remote monitoring to ensure standards compliance
  • Booking travel, meeting rooms, and coordinating diaries for the survey team and clients
  • Supporting daily operations and administrative needs of the survey team and Policy and Research division

What we will need from you

Essential requirements:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English, grades A-C
  • Previous experience in project support and administration in private, public, or academic sectors
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with high accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple projects
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive team approach, eager to learn new skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
  • Intermediate skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience working in a consultancy or market research/survey environment
