Job Description: Survey Support Assistant (Fixed-term Contract)

What You Will Be Doing

You will support the delivery of survey data collection projects for internal and external clients across various social policy areas, including education, employment, health, and wellbeing. This role offers valuable experience in a leading management consultancy, supporting our Policy and Research, Communications, and Project Management teams across the UK, Europe, and internationally.

Position Details

This is a fixed-term (maternity cover) contract for one month, based in any of our UK offices in London, Birmingham, or Leeds, with a requirement to work two days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the survey Associate Director and team with daily operations of the survey centre.
  2. Support survey and data collection projects, providing holiday cover for team members.
  3. Respond to requests from project managers, scripters, and responders via helplines and email inboxes.
  4. Support internal clients with project queries.
  5. Assist with data cleaning, survey checks, and questionnaire timings.
  6. Review electronic survey questionnaires for accuracy and learn technical review processes.
  7. Provide administrative support for data collection methods.
  8. Manage shift availability for telephone interviewing teams.
  9. Prepare and check pay claims before submission to payroll.
  10. Support quality control and remote monitoring to ensure standards are met.
  11. Coordinate travel, meeting rooms, and diaries for the survey team and clients.
  12. Assist with daily operations and administrative tasks within the survey team and Policy and Research division.
What We Need From You

Essential requirements include:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grades A-C.
  • Previous experience in project support and administration within private, public, or academic sectors.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with high accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple projects.
  • Flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or with the team.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Experience in consultancy or market research/survey environments.
