Assistant Stylist (Trainee Dog Groomer) – Carlisle – 39 Hours

Location: 2, London Road Retail Park, London Road, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA1 2PD

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours during busy periods.

Contract Type: Permanent

Who are we?

We’re Pets at Home – if you love pets, you might be familiar with our Pet Care Centres, including Pet Grooming salons and Vets for Pets practices across the UK.

What’s the role?

Our Assistant Stylists are vital to our grooming salons’ success. You will deliver high standards of pet care and gain knowledge in grooming techniques, handling, equipment use, and pre-grooming preparation. We provide training, skills, and knowledge to help you deliver excellent service and grow within our business.

Who are we looking for?

• Passionate about providing excellent service.
• Flexible to work across 6 days a week (we are closed on Sundays).
• Experience with dogs in a professional grooming or pet care environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Comfortable working in target-driven environments.
