• Maintain appropriate PPE for a safe working environment.

Description

As an Assistant Stores Person, you'll support the Stores team with everything related to yard and store operations. Your role involves liaising with supervisors and operatives to manage the ordering and distribution of materials and supplies for field operations. You will employ best business practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor depot and store locations, maintaining strong housekeeping standards.
• Issue stock to Operations teams accurately and record all transactions in Sage.
• Regularly check stock levels and ensure proper storage, cataloging, and distribution of supplies.
• Coordinate collection and delivery of equipment and packages.
• Source strategic stock at short notice through established relationships.
• Maintain appropriate PPE to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure suppliers comply with delivery specifications.
• Verify quantities of unpacked supplies against delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance within the yard.
• Deliver stores and materials to various operational sites across the region.

Experience and Qualifications

• Telehandler license is essential.
