Job summary

Monkhouse Store Horsham is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our growing team. You will support the Store Manager with daily tasks, manage key-holder duties, drive sales, and train staff to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager with daily tasks and decision-making.
  • Serve as a key holder and assist with opening/closing duties.
  • Drive sales through excellent customer service and upselling.
  • Lead training and development of staff to improve performance.
  • Assist with seasonal recruitment and staff scheduling.
  • Oversee inventory management and stock replenishment.
  • Support merchandising and window display upkeep.
  • Maintain high store standards and cleanliness.

Our location:

We are located in Horshamwith good publictransport links.

Your working days and hours:

This is a permanent,21.5-hour-a-week contract.Actual days of work to be agreed upon. and will include weekend availability scheduled through a rota. Our hours of work are 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.

During our peak season, there is the option to uplift your hours.

What about holidays?

Your holiday entitlement is 28 days per year (including bank holidays, and pro-rated to hours worked).
