Assistant Store Manager - Kentish Town, London

Age UK is recruiting! We have an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic team in Kentish Town, North West London, as an Assistant Shop Manager.

With over 250 locations across the UK, our stores raise funds for some of the incredible services and support provided by the charity.

Our amazing Assistant Managers support our Store Managers in all aspects of the business, helping to guide and support our committed team of Shop Assistants and volunteers while ensuring customers are provided with an exemplary shop experience.

This opportunity offers an excellent benefits package as well as the chance to work within a valued team, all working to raise funds for a charity that provides vital services and support to older people across the UK.

To ensure the smooth running of our stores, we will be conducting interviews throughout the advertising process. Early applications are advised.

This role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship - the successful applicant will need to have a pre-existing Right to Work in the UK in order to be offered an employment contract.

Responsibilities:
  • The ability to work collaboratively and consultatively with the Shop Manager
  • Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg
  • Lead a team of volunteers and staff
  • Delegate and coach staff
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Manage time effectively under conflicting priorities
  • IT literacy and numeracy skills
Ideally, you will also have:
  • Understanding and establishing successful retail processes
  • Ability to interpret basic financial reports
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
