Job summary

Boots Opticians is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a diverse team and partner with the Store Manager to drive customer satisfaction and sales. You will work across the whole store, balancing service, operations and clinical tasks to deliver a seamless patient journey.

You will mentor staff, manage rotas, conduct reviews and participate in Boots’ industry-leading training to build clinical knowledge and leadership skills for a rewarding career path.

Qualifications

• GOC registration is essential.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is required.
• Experience leading or coaching a team is preferred.
• Experience in a clinical environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the store team to deliver an excellent customer journey.
• Contribute to the commercial plan and store operations.
• Support clinical activities: pre-screening, dispensing, accuracy checks.

Job description

As an Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. You will play an important role within your store, working closely with the Store Manager, to create and deliver the commercial plan to help the business to grow and change for the better. Working across the whole store, your days will be full of variety. You will be involved in everything from customer service, store operations as well as the clinical activities which include patient pre-screening, dispensing, accuracy checks and much more. You will manage a team with a variety of experience and clinical knowledge, providing you with the opportunity to help them develop their knowledge, skills and shape their future careers. This also includes completing management tasks such as creating and maintaining rotas, return to work reviews and performance management. We will support you in completing our industry leading 'Step into Optics' training programme along to help you to develop your clinical knowledge. With leadership training programmes also available, we are committed to helping you develop and carve out a career at Boots Opticians.
