Poundland Limited is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will drive performance and lead by example in a busy retail environment. You will support the Store Manager to coach a team, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards across all store operations.

With a focus on stock control, loss prevention, and everyday store excellence, you will stay calm under pressure and develop future leaders to grow with Poundland.

About The Role

Join us here at Poundland as an Assistant Store Manager and play a key role in supporting the Store Manager to lead, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver amazing service and outstanding store standards every day.

You’ll be right at the heart of the store, helping drive performance, hit targets, and make sure everything runs smoothly, from customer service and team coaching to stock management, operational excellence, and loss prevention. With your support, the store will be a safe, welcoming, and well-organised environment for our colleagues and customers alike.

A confident, people focused approach is essential. You’ll inspire your team, develop future succession, and lead by example, while keeping an eye on sales, performance, and the day-to-day operations of a busy retail store.

Previous retail experience and essential people leadership skills will help you thrive, along with strong organisation, commercial awareness, and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-moving environment.
