Job summary

Specsavers Hoddesdon is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to work alongside the Store Manager, leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, customer-first service, and developing staff within optics.

Experience in optics is welcome but not essential; the successful candidate will be commercially minded, detail-focused, and adaptable to support better eye and ear care in the community.

Assistant Store Manager - Hoddesdon

Are you motivated with an eye for detail and looking to bring your skills to a global, difference-making company? You’ve come to the right place.

As long as you're ready to lead by example, be hands-on, and champion a customer-first mindset, you can make a difference as an Assistant Store Manager at Specsavers. Working alongside the Store Manager, you'll help keep the store and team running like clockwork. We'll fully support you to develop your skills within optics. You'll play a key role in bringing better hearing and eye care to your community while supporting others to do the same. In short, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss. We are keen to speak with candidates who have current or previous experience within optics, although this isn't essential to be considered for this role. We are looking for someone who has experience in leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment, is commercially aware and has a positive attitude.

• Salary up to £30,000 (dependent on experience) plus bonus potential (after completion of probationary period)
• Full time: 37.5 hours per week and will include weekend working
