We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Store Manager to support the leadership of a high-performing fashion boutique for a well-established, founder-led premium British retail brand.This is a fantastic opportunity to drive strong weekly performance, develop a successful team and contribute to a brand built on unique shopping experiences and timeless styles.

THE ROLE

As Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to drive commercial performance, lead and develop the team, and ensure the boutique consistently delivers outstanding service.

You will help create a high-energy, sales-driven environment, maintaining excellent operational standards while acting as a role model for customer experience and team engagement.

This is a busy environment requiring energy, resilience and strong commercial awareness. You will take ownership of the shopfloor during key trading periods, support daily operations and play an active role in achieving the boutique’s commercial objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Store Manager in leading, motivating and developing a high-performing team.
• Lead by example on the shopfloor, driving sales and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Drive performance against key KPIs, including UPT, ATV, conversion and customer capture.
• Coach and develop team members, providing regular feedback and supporting individual performance.
• Analyse sales performance, identify opportunities and implement initiatives to maximise results.
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Support daily operations, including stock management, replenishment and scheduling.
• Take responsibility for the boutique in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business through personalised service.
• Contribute ideas to improve store performance, customer experience and team development.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Supervisor or experienced retail team leader within a premium or service-led retail environment.
• A hands-on leader who enjoys being on the shopfloor and leading by example.
• Passionate about exceptional customer experiences and developing successful teams.
• Commercially driven, with a strong understanding of retail KPIs and sales performance.
• Confident in coaching, motivating and supporting team members to achieve targets.
• Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail in product presentation, visual merchandising and store standards.
• Previous experience or a strong interest in digital marketing would be advantageous.
• Positive, proactive and confident in taking ownership and supporting the wider business.
