Job summary

Oliver Bonas Limited in Chelmsford is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to work with the Store Manager to drive sales, inspire the team and deliver exceptional in-store customer experiences.

The role offers a flexible contract with a fixed number of hours per week and a rota set in advance, with openness to flexible working discussions. You will analyse store reports, lead by example, and ensure the team meets objectives while upholding OB standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyse a variety of reports to measure the store’s and team’s success.
• Work with KPIs to evaluate the store’s performance and identify development areas.
• Lead by example and provide guidance to all team members toward objectives.
• Provide a great customer experience delivering on service expectations.
• Work alongside the store manager to ensure the team delivers exceptional customer experiences.
• Be genuine with customers by creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere in-store.
• Support progress meetings and appraisals for all team members in a timely manner.
• Develop and support career progression for the team.
• Follow cash handling guidelines including till transactions and cashing up.
• Ensure adherence to OB operational standards.
• Communicate in OB tone of voice; maintain approachable yet authoritative style.

Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join Team OB in our Chelmsford store.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will work alongside your Store Manager to enhance sales and motivate your team. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will bring enthusiasm, positivity, and joy to the store by inspiring your customers and colleagues and maximising sales.

This will be a flexible contract, meaning you will have a fixed number of hours you will work per week across a variety of days and shifts. Your rota will be communicated to you in advance by your line manager, and we are open to having conversations about working flexibly.
