Job description

Pertemps is currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager for a leading storage company in Bristol. This is a permanent position.

Responsibilities as an Assistant Manager:
  1. Take responsibility for the running of the store
  2. Deal effectively with sales enquiries from customers over the telephone and face to face
  3. Maximise every sales enquiry
  4. Complete all administrative tasks
  5. Take responsibility for the setup and control of store marketing tasks
  6. Contribute to the achievement of the financial targets for the store
  7. Identify and suggest opportunities
  8. Ensure the store presents itself to a high standard of cleanliness
  9. Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to
  10. Manage, monitor, and adapt the working practices of the store staff
  11. Identify store repair & maintenance issues, report, and follow up
  12. Ensure compliance with company operational and financial policies
Requirements as an Assistant Manager:
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak clearly and demonstrate effective listening skills
  • Comfortable working in a small team and adapting to lone working
  • Accountability for store actions in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Confidence and knowledge of company projects and services after induction and probation
The Role:
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
  • Salary: £28,136 plus bonus
  • Permanent role
