Job description
Overview

Honeycomb Jobs is working with a large Public Sector organisation, looking to recruit a temporary Full-time Assistant Sports and Recreation Development Officer up until 31st December 2025 (with possible extension).

Role

To be responsible for the planning and delivery of soccer participation schemes such as half term schemes and fun weeks.

Duties
  • To be responsible for the delivery of sports development initiatives such as School Sports Series and Sports Education Programmes for 2025/2026.
  • To monitor and review programmes and make recommendations for 2026/2027.
  • To liaise and work in partnership with national Governing Bodies.
  • To supervise casual coaches.
  • To be responsible for the administration, governance and accountability of the programmes as mentioned above.
The Person

As the successful candidate you will meet the following criteria;

Essential:

  • Level 3 qualification in Sport/ Recreation/ Leisure OR
  • 2 years' relevant working experience in the field of sports and development.
  • 2 years' experience employed in sports development/ leisure/ recreation industry.
  • 3 years' coaching experience in football and UEFA Football C Licence.
  • A full clean driving license.
