Leading national housebuilder is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager for a large, multi-phase development in Gloucester. The role supports the Site Manager to ensure homes are delivered safely, on programme and to high quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience in residential construction, with SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager or in a supervisory role on residential construction.
• Knowledge of build programmes, methods and NHBC requirements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with ability to coordinate multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with daily site management and coordination.
• Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure safety and quality.
• Monitor build quality and compliance with company procedures and NHBC standards.
• Help maintain construction programmes and progress toward milestones.
• Carry out regular site inspections and address issues promptly.
• Maintain health and safety standards across the development.
• Assist with plot inspections, snagging, and handover preparation.
• Maintain accurate site records and manage resources and materials.
