Velocity Recruitment Ltd in East London is recruiting an experienced Assistant Site Manager to support a major new-build residential development.

You will work with the Senior Site Manager on the internal fit-out of one block, supervising subcontractors, coordinating trades, and ensuring quality and progress against the programme.

The role offers a long-term freelance opportunity with CIS payment, a strong project team, and potential for further work.

Competenze

• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications required.
• Experience in managing internal fit-out packages a plus.
• Background in new-build residential construction preferred.

Assistant Site Manager - New Build Residential - Long Term Freelance

Reporting to: Senior Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a strong delivery team working on a major new-build residential development in East London.

The project comprises four residential tower blocks, each containing approximately 100 apartments, and the successful candidate will take responsibility for supporting the delivery of the internal fit-out of one block, reporting directly to the Senior Site Manager.

The Role

Working alongside the Senior Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management and delivery of the internal fit-out works for your allocated block.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Senior Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the block.
• Supervising subcontractors and trades across the internal fit-out.
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting any issues.
• Coordinating trades and ensuring works are sequenced effectively.
• Carrying out regular quality inspections and snagging.
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the Senior Site Manager.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager with a background in new-build residential construction, ideally with strong internal fit-out experience.

You will ideally have:

• Experience managing internal fit-out packages.
• Experience working on apartment schemes or multi-unit residential developments.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work as part of a team.
• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications.
