Job Description:

What you'll be doing?

Within the Construction environment, think about buying materials, managing big projects, ensuring health and safety, and customer service. At any given time, you’ll find us working on some circa 400 developments in both towns and rural areas across the UK, each posing unique challenges. Some are from scratch on brownfield sites; others involve adapting existing buildings, like old factories or disused hospitals.

We need people who can bring us fresh ideas and imagination, along with the commercial ability to manage people, budgets, and costs. Our construction teams are highly professional, as evidenced by our Site Managers winning more NHBC Pride in the Job Awards than any other housebuilder for thirteen consecutive years.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will assist in managing the development of the site through to completion, ensuring Programme, Quality, and Cost targets are met in line with the build schedule by effectively managing the Site team and subcontractors.

You will be expected to:

  1. Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labour, and materials to meet the production programme.
  2. Work with the Sales Team to attend regular Sales/Build meetings, ensure adherence to procedures, and inspect show homes.
  3. Take responsibility for duties as determined by the Site Manager; deputise for the Site Manager when required.
  4. Support the Site Manager in ensuring the construction team is well-resourced, supported, and organized, including communication, training, and workload management.
  5. Deliver excellent customer service in line with company guidelines.

What you'll need?

To be successful, you should have:

  1. Experience working within established build programs.
  2. Assertiveness to ensure targets are met by the team and trades/labour.
  3. Ability to prioritize tasks amidst changing business needs.
  4. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or NVQ level in Construction Management, or significant trades experience.
  5. In-depth knowledge of construction trades, legislative requirements, Health and Safety, NHBC standards, and Building Regulations.
  6. Good understanding and experience in Customer Service issues.

Our Company and Benefits:

We’ve been recognized as a 5-star housebuilder since 2010, known for high-quality homes for all generations. We combine innovative technology, talented people, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. We offer tailored opportunities for various career stages and backgrounds, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.

Benefits include:

  1. Competitive Salary
  2. Bonus Scheme
  3. Company Car or Allowance
  4. Private Medical Scheme
  5. Holiday entitlement starting at 26 days, increasing with service
  6. Flexible Benefits
  7. Family-Friendly Policies
