Assistant Site Manager (Facilities Management)

Location: Winifred Holtby Academy, Hull

Working hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The shift pattern for this post requires the post holder to be flexible in order to accommodate the requirements of the school.

Salary: £13.60 per hour

Your new role

What you'll do:

  • Assist with effectively recruiting, training, and deploying the school’s caretaking staff
  • Direct in delivering the planned preventative maintenance programme on an annual basis
  • Monitor plant and equipment
  • Direct the caretaking staff daily
  • Assist with supervising and undertaking minor refurbishments, building work, repairs, and replacements
  • Ensure the school environment and immediate perimeter is kept free of graffiti and litter daily
  • Assist the management team in ensuring that the health and safety responsibilities for the site are met
  • Maintain the security of the site and the safeguarding of the users with appropriate support from the Site Manager
  • Direct the community use of the school’s premises and site
  • Induct and monitor the performance of contractors
  • Ensure that the RFM equipment, materials, and stock are accounted for
  • Identify pupil damage and raise recharges to the school, and order replacements and rectifications

What you'll need:

  • Significant experience in a similar role
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with evidence to support this
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Positive approach to work with a flexible and helpful nature
  • Able to demonstrate high levels of customer care with a proactive approach are essential
  • Technical background preferred

The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS with child barred list check before starting in the job.
