We are Churchill Retirement Living, the fastest growing company in the UK retirement house building sector, and we’re looking for people like you.
We’re a family-owned business with ambitious growth plans. Currently employing over 700 people, we pride ourselves on building beautiful, high-quality, purpose-built one and two-bedroom apartments in desirable UK locations for those seeking an independent lifestyle in later life. Our developments are designed to provide security, peace of mind, and independence, removing common worries for older adults.
We have received numerous awards, including being recognized by The Sunday Times as the 3rd Best Company to Work for in the UK and being crowned the overall ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ by the WhatHouse? Awards in 2016.
We’re seeking an Assistant Site Manager for our Northern region to oversee our development in West Kirby, Wirral.
You will support the Site Manager using specified drawings and instructions, assisting throughout the entire construction cycle to ensure all deadlines are met and standards are maintained according to Company and NHBC standards.
Based on-site and reporting to the Site Manager, you will help manage health and safety, trades and material coordination, site presentation, and cost control. Your role is vital in ensuring the continued success of Churchill Retirement Living’s developments.
Working hours are from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The role may require infrequent call-outs in the absence of the Site Manager. Upon project completion, you will be assigned to another site within the region.
You should have relevant experience building residential apartments and new homes. A First Aider at Work qualification is required, and a trade background is advantageous.
Holding a CSCS Card and being qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Site Management, preferably on the NHBC Site Manager Accreditation programme, is essential.
You must be assertive, calm under pressure, and able to meet construction deadlines while liaising with external suppliers, specialists, and in-house teams to achieve objectives without compromising quality. Influencing skills are key to fostering cooperation.
A valid UK driver’s license is necessary in case assistance is needed at other sites.
Join the Churchill family and be part of an ambitious, successful business that values its people. Apply today!
