Job description

Salary Range: £35,000 to £40,000, depending on experience

Location: Hillingdon and surrounding areas

Are you an experienced Assistant Site Manager passionate about delivering excellence in void refurbishment projects within the social housing sector? Join our dynamic team at PiLON, an award-winning, multi-trade construction business dedicated to enhancing living environments for our clients.

As an Assistant Site Manager, you should have at least two years of proven experience in void refurbishment in the social housing sector. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing subcontractor teams and will play a key role in project delivery, contributing to our organisational growth targets.

Main Objectives of the Assistant Site Manager role:
  1. Oversee, monitor, and manage the progress of void refurbishments
  2. Liaise with clients and report on work progress to stakeholders
  3. Supervise refurbishment works, ensuring team focus, engagement, and motivation
  4. Ensure site safety through inspections and adherence to safety protocols
  5. Conduct post-contractor checks and address final tasks to meet quality standards before handover
  6. Prepare and complete daily snagging lists, prioritising properties for upcoming handovers
  7. Order and manage materials inventory, maintaining stocks of essentials like electricals, white goods, and kitchen fittings
  8. Manage lock changes and drop paperwork in properties received the day before
  9. Identify required installations and maintain detailed records for each property
  10. Uphold professional standards, company values, and customer service commitments
Qualifications and experience required:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in refurbishing works within the social housing sector
  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professionalism in handling challenges
  • Caring attitude with the ability to motivate teams
