Job summary

Construction Resources Limited in Salford is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a major high-rise development. You will support the Site Manager, coordinating subcontractors and trades, and help ensure safety, programme delivery and quality on site.

This permanent role requires live-site experience on high-rise schemes, strong communication and planning skills, and familiarity with firestopping/passive fire protection works.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar.
• Experience working on high-rise residential or commercial developments.
• Strong live-site experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and specialist trades.
• Knowledge of firestopping, passive fire protection, fire doors and/or drylining.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations.
• Coordinating subcontractors, specialist trades and site operatives.
• Monitoring progress against the programme and identifying potential delays.
• Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and RAMS.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality.
• Coordinating firestopping, passive fire protection, fire door and drylining works.
• Liaising with the Client, consultants and wider project team.
• Supporting short-term planning and look-ahead programmes.
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and progress.Assisting with inspections, snagging and project handover.
• Maintaining accurate site records and project documentation.

The Opportunity

• We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist construction contractor for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a major high-rise residential development in Salford.
• This is a permanent opportunity for a construction professional with experience across high-rise developments, live sites and firestopping/passive fire protection.
• You will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the project, coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades while ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:
