About the role
We’re looking for an Assistant Site Manager for our South East region to help oversee the build of our new retirement development in Cranleigh.
Based on site and reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll assist in managing all aspects of the building site, including health and safety issues, trades and material co-ordination, site presentation and cost control.
Using specified drawings and instructions, you’ll support the Site Manager with the entire construction cycle to ensure all deadlines are met and the development is built to Company and NHBC standards.
The Assistant Site Manager is subject to call-out in the absence of the Site Manager, however this is infrequent. Once the development is completed, you will be moved to another site within the region.
The Assistant Site Manager plays a key role in the continued success of Churchill Retirement Living’s brand and growth strategy, building high quality, desirable retirement living developments for the over 60’s.
About you
As our new Assistant Site Manager, you will have previous site experience in the construction of residential apartments and / or new homes. You will also be a qualified First Aider at Work and may have progressed from a trade background.
You will hold a CSCS Card and be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Site Management, preferably on the NHBC Site Manager Accreditation programme.
You’ll be assertive and calm under pressure to meet numerous construction deadlines, whilst liaising with a wide range of external suppliers, specialists and in-house teams to achieve critical objectives, without compromising quality standards. To achieve maximum co-operation, the ability to communicate and influence at all levels is key.
You will hold a valid UK driving licence.
