Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a flagship large-scale residential development in Lakenheath, Suffolk. You will report to the Senior Site Manager and help deliver homes safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

The role offers a salary of £45,000–£55,000 with a competitive package including bonus, car allowance or company vehicle, pension and private healthcare. Progression towards Site Manager is supported.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding.
• Experience with volume housebuilder is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of traditional build construction methods.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with subcontractors and site labour
• Driving health & safety standards across the development
• Coordinating trades to achieve build programmes and deadlines
• Conducting quality inspections and snagging
• Supporting NHBC and Building Control inspections
• Monitoring site presentation and housekeeping
• Assisting with material management and deliveries
• Ensuring plots delivered to high customer service standards

Are you an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to develop your career with one of the UK's leading 5-star housebuilders?

Our client, a prestigious volume housebuilder with an exceptional reputation for quality and customer satisfaction, is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join a flagship large-scale residential development in Lakenheath, Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced management team on a multi-phase housing scheme, gaining exposure to all aspects of site management while progressing towards a Site Manager position.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of a busy residential development, helping to ensure homes are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the management of subcontractors and site labour
• Driving health & safety standards across the development
• Coordinating trades to achieve build programmes and key deadlines
• Conducting quality inspections and snagging activities
• Supporting NHBC and Building Control inspections
• Monitoring site presentation and housekeeping
• Assisting with material management and deliveries
• Ensuring plots are delivered to the highest customer service standards
• Supporting the site team with handovers and completions

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding
• Experience working for a volume housebuilder would be highly desirable
• Strong understanding of traditional build construction methods
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Passion for delivering quality homes and customer satisfaction
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced site environment
• SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid and CSCS qualifications preferred
