A leading affordable housing developer in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Assistant Site Manager. You will support site management, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in the construction industry, relevant certifications, and experience in supervising teams. Permanent, 40 hours per week
We are currently recruiting an Assistant Site Manager to support the site management team and monitor work quality to ensure compliance and standards. You will ensure service levels are met professionally and assist the Site Manager in planning, managing, and controlling daily operations to complete work on time and within budget. With a good understanding of health and safety, you will ensure internal and external stakeholders follow policies and procedures. You’ll liaise with NHBC, Building Control, Highways, and Water Authority Inspectors to ensure technical compliance and programme adherence.
Applicants should have a good knowledge of the building/construction industry, including NHBC and building regulations, with experience supervising operatives and meeting deadlines within budget. Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 6 in Site Management or equivalent, a CSCS card or affiliate CSCS, and relevant certifications such as SMSTS/SSSTS, along with good health and safety knowledge in construction.
