Bridge House School in Boston, Lincolnshire is recruiting for an Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their maintenance team. We are seeking a passionate candidate to carry out reactive day-to-day maintenance issues within the school and its grounds.

Duties of the role:
  1. Support the School Business Manager in ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running, presentation, and management of the school site, maintaining a warm, clean, safe, and secure environment for all authorized users and visitors.
  2. Act as a key holder to support site security.
  3. Carry out general school maintenance and repairs in accordance with relevant Health and Safety legislation to keep the premises in good repair and appearance.
  4. Responsible for the upkeep of the school grounds, ensuring boundary areas, entrances, and exits are secure at all times.
  5. Complete weekly checks to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and guidance.
  6. Identify and make safe hazards on site, reporting these to the School Business Manager.
  7. Coordinate with local contractors, providing local knowledge and guidance, to ensure scheduled and preventative maintenance is completed timely; monitor local contracts and address variances directly with contractors.
  8. Assist with maintaining up-to-date risk assessments and management plans, ensuring compliance and addressing any deficiencies.
  9. Maintain positive working relationships with all school staff and cooperate fully with team members.
  10. Perform any other duties assigned by the School Business Manager.
