About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join a timber frame volume housing development in South Birmingham. The role is being offered on a temporary to permanent basis, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to secure a long-term position with a leading housebuilder.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations.
  • Coordinate and supervise trades to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor health & safety on site and ensure compliance at all times.
  • Assist with snagging, inspections, and site handovers.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team.
Requirements
  • Essential previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within new build housing
  • Knowledge of timber frame construction preferred.
  • Valid SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid at Work, and CSCS certifications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and looking to progress within a large housing scheme.
