Job summary

Lawtech Ltd is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in delivering on-site works to time and budget, with focus on safety and quality across cladding remediation projects in the Southeast. The role involves liaising with QS, H&S, ISO and other managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • ONC or equivalent qualification/experience in construction-related discipline.
  • Background within cladding/facades.
  • Completed or in process of obtaining NVQ in construction-related discipline.
  • CSCS card required.
  • EWI experience beneficial.
  • QCQA is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with management of specified works and workforce to productivity, deadlines and budgets.
  • Direct and oversee fire stopping works, including fire doors, seals, and compartmentalisation.
  • Assist with delivery of works to programme and communicate requirements to workforce.
  • Co-ordinate labour and material requirements across works/site teams for efficient stores use.
  • Liaise with project manager/QS/buying dept to place orders and sequence material deliveries; monitor labour/materials.
  • Maintain relationships with client staff, funders and third parties; take ownership of delivery within remit.
  • Understand scope and manage resources to deliver works on time and budget.
  • Maintain information and communicate with workforce; ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Maintain quality standards and records; ensure compliance with legislation and company processes.
  • Work with management, commercial/QS to manage sub-contractors, orders, budgets and costs.
  • Assist Health & Safety to deliver site H&S plan, risk assessments, method statements and COSHH; maintain documentation.
  • Coordinate with ISO and Design/Quality to manage service and product delivery.
  • Support resident liaison to resolve residents’ issues; monitor workforce performance.

Job description

Role Overview:

The role of the Assistant Site Manager is to be responsible to the Site manager for the onsite management and delivery of the specified works to time and budget, in a safe andeffective manner. They will liaise with QS, H&S, ISO, technical and other managers within the company, to ensure delivery of the project.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Assist with management of specified works and workforce, to agreed productivitylevels, deadlines and budgets.
  • Direct and oversee internal fire stopping works, including the installation and compliance of fire doors, penetration seals, and fire compartmentalisation.
  • Assist with management of delivery of the works to programme and communicateall requirements to the workforce, supporting them in the production of theirsections of the programme.
  • Assist with co-ordinating labour and material requirements across the works / siteteams to ensure efficient use of stores and resources.
  • Liaise with project manager/ QS / buying department to ensure timely placing of orders and sequence ofmaterial deliveries. Keep control of the labour and material by constant andaccurate monitoring of the site requirements and related documentation.
  • Assist the maintenance and building of relationships with all key client staff andstakeholders, funders and other third parties, as required.
    Take full ownership of all aspects of management of works within your remit.
  • Understand the scope and manage the resources required to deliver the works totime and budget.
  • Be in possession of all relevant information to assist with producing, maintainingand controlling the delivery of the works, communicating information to theworkforce as required.
  • Maintain agreed quality standards, communicate those standards, all programmeand contract requirements to workforce.
  • Maintain complete and accurate online and printed records for all aspects of theworks, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation and company policies.
  • Work with project management, commercial department / QS to ensure sub-contractors, LOSC, orders, budgets and costs are managed.
  • Work with Health & Safety department to ensure delivery of the construction phaseH&S plan, risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments andensure all relevant documentation and notices are available on site.
  • Work with ISO and Design & Quality departments to ensure total management ofservice and product delivery, across the works.
  • Work with resident liaison and customer service personnel to manage and resolveresidents’ issues to their satisfaction.
  • Monitor workforce performance through objectives and action plans, as required.
  • Ensure all contractor and sub-contractor issues are raised and dealt withappropriately.
  • Attend site and management meetings weekly, fortnightly, monthly as required.
  • Keep up to date with relevant industry regulations, H&S legislation and companyprocesses and procedures
Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical – ONC or equivalent qualification/experience in construction-relateddiscipline
  • Relevant background within cladding/facades
  • Have completed or be in the process of obtaining a relevant NVQ in a constructionrelated discipline.
  • CSCS card
  • SSTS is beneficial
  • QCQA is a must
  • EWI experience is beneficial
  • Competent user MS Excel, MS Word, Microsoft Outlook email and calendars.
  • Keep up to date with relevant industry regulations, H&S legislation and companyprocesses and procedures.
  • Undertake other training necessary for delivery of your role.
  • Driving licenseand access to own vehicle would be beneficial.
