What will this role achieve?
This role will be key to providing vital support to the Site Leadership team, in particular the site Finance Manager, and enabling the day-to-day performance within this strategic site.
As the Assistant Site Accountant, you will provide vital support to the site Finance Manager in a range of areas, including the preparation of quarterly forecasts / budgets and performance reporting.
The role will involve working closely with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders as well as guiding the offshore finance function. Developing Cost Centre Managers' financial awareness, managing the site capital investment process, and facilitating the management team in controlling and forecasting the cost base are all part of the responsibilities. A key element of the role is understanding and controlling the standard cost of production, whilst liaising with the operational team to explain variance to plan. A drive for continuous improvement will be crucial in order to develop the processes and practices of the site finance function
