We are seeking a talented Assistant Shop Manager to support the Shop Manager at our Orpington shop, working flexibly across the seven-day trading week.
The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial or charity retail and be committed to generating income for Demelza Hospice Care for Children. Enthusiasm, passion, and dedication to providing excellent customer and donor service are essential.
Responsibilities include managing daily shop operations in the absence of the Shop Manager, preparing donations for sale with a focus on gift-aided items, maintaining appealing visual merchandising, and updating window displays in line with seasonal or event themes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. You will also oversee and develop a team of volunteers, prioritizing tasks, providing guidance, and empowering them to deliver outstanding service.
This part-time role involves moderate moving and handling. Applicants must be aged 18 or over for insurance purposes.
The position is 22.5 hours per week, with flexible scheduling across the week.
