Job summary

Shelter in Skipton seeks an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a small shop team, recruit and support volunteers, and help maximise income for homeless and badly housed people. You will work closely with the Shop Manager to keep the shop welcoming, visually appealing and well stocked, while engaging customers with Shelter's cause and representing the charity in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager in recruitment, support and development of a strong, community-focused shop team and maximise Shelter’s income.
• Represent Shelter in the local community, sharing Shelter’s cause with customers, volunteers and donors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, bright environment for staff and customers to shop in, attracting donors and volunteers.
