Demelza Charity is looking for an Assistant Shop Manager for their Heathfield shop. This part-time role requires managing shop operations, leading volunteers, and ensuring excellent customer service. Ideal candidates have a retail background and strong leadership skills.
We are seeking a talented Assistant Shop Manager to work alongside the Shop Manager in our upcoming Heathfield shop, operating flexibly across the seven-day trading week.
The ideal candidate should have a background in commercial or charity retail and be committed to supporting Demelza Hospice Care for Children. Enthusiasm, passion, and a drive to ensure excellent customer and donor experiences are essential.
Responsibilities include managing the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, preparing donations for sale with an emphasis on gift-aided items, and maintaining attractive visual merchandising and seasonal window displays. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
You will also work with and develop a team of dedicated volunteers, prioritizing tasks, providing guidance, and empowering them to deliver outstanding service.
This part-time role offers 22.5 hours per week, requiring full flexibility across the 7-day trading schedule.
The role involves moderate moving and handling. Candidates must be aged 18 or over for insurance purposes.
