Join Our Team as an Assistant Manager – 30 Hours at our Causewayhead Shop
We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to join Stephens Bakery on a 30 hour contract in the Causewayhead area.
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Shop Manager in leading the team day to day, making sure the shop runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Working closely with your Shop Manager, you’ll help deliver outstanding customer service, top-quality products, and a supportive team culture. When the manager isn’t present, you’ll take full responsibility for the shop and its performance.
You’ll be hands-on, leading by example, and supporting your team to deliver our gold standards every day. Your role will include:
Leading and motivating the shop team during your shifts
Helping with rota planning and covering short-term staffing needs
Supporting team development, training new starters, and addressing performance issues
Leading by example and setting the standard for excellent customer service and teamwork
Taking full responsibility for the shop when you’re the most senior team member
Actively serving customers and creating a welcoming experience
Making sure the shop is clean, well-stocked, and compliant with food safety and health & safety standards
Managing daily checks, opening/closing duties, till processes, and cash handling
Supporting stock management, rotation, and waste control
Keeping communication clear, positive, and respectful within the team
Promoting a positive atmosphere and resolving issues early
Similar management experience is preferred, but what matters most is your attitude, reliability, and eagerness to grow. Full training will be provided.
