Job summary

The Children’s Society is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for Newark Town Centre Shop. This permanent, part-time role is 20 hours per week, including Saturdays and Sundays, with a salary of £24,700 per annum or £13,351.35 pro rata for part-time hours.

You will support the shop manager and team to deliver excellent customer service, engage with the local community and drive shop income. Benefits include generous leave and pension options.

Qualifications

• Experience working with volunteers or in a charity environment.
• Customer facing or service experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and support a volunteer team and shop volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Support the shop manager and team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Drive income generation and community engagement for the Newark shop.
• Contribute to shop performance and supervision on weekends.

About the role: This role sits within our Retail Domain, which transforms donated goods into vital income to support young people across the UK. You’ll play a key part in our Newark shop,supporting the shop manager,and team to deliver excellent customer service, community engagement, and income generation. As part of this role, you will be required to follow a shift of Saturdays and Sundays
