Job summary

Sheffield City Council Family Intervention Service is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to lead and shape high quality Early Help services for children, young people and families.

You will oversee performance, safeguarding practice, workforce development and resource use, deputise for the Service Manager, and drive service improvement across a city-wide geography. An ability to engage partners and deploy resources is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as Dip/SW/CQSW or Early Years or Health equivalent with at least 3 years' experience.
• Ability to engage and collaborate with partners and deploy resources.
• Experience in safeguarding and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead services across a geographical area, managing Team Managers.
• Oversee performance, quality, safeguarding practice, workforce development and resources.
• Deputise for the Service Manager and drive service improvement.
