We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis (12 months) with a specific remit for Elective Services (Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, and General Anaesthetics).
If you can think on your feet, have a ‘can-do’ attitude, are able to juggle competing priorities, and have experience working in the NHS or another complex public sector organization, then this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team providing clinical care across NHS Golden Jubilee.
The post holder will report to the Service Manager and will be integral in ensuring that key performance targets and standards are met, maintained, and sustained. This includes playing a crucial role in the planning, development, implementation, improvement, and management of services. You will need a proven record of accomplishment in leadership, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and enthusiasm and commitment to develop in the role.
You will be expected to work independently to manage your workload and deputise for your Service Manager when required.
