A social care provider in Denbigh is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support the daily operations of a residential service. The successful candidate will manage a team and ensure high-quality care for residents with complex needs. Key responsibilities include overseeing service management, providing leadership, and maintaining a flexible working schedule.
Come and make a real difference: due to an internal promotion, we are now on the lookout for our next Assistant Service Manager to help make everyday remarkable for our friendly team in Henllan near Denbigh.
We have a 4-bedroom bungalow with 4 residents, 2 of which are nonverbal, 1 suffers with epilepsy, and all have complex needs. This role will involve supporting the Service Manager to manage the service and our colleagues, which includes finance checks, medication checks, rotas, protocols, supporting staff daily planners to follow our policies and procedures, etc.
To do this successfully, you'll be visible in the day-to-day operation of the service, supporting duties in line with the requirements of the people we support. You'll be working shifts on a rota basis, which includes sleep ins. In the absence of the Service Manager, you'll have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service. This will involve providing leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance, carrying out one-to-one's and appraisals, and holding team meetings.
