Job summary

Flexzo Teach is recruiting an experienced Assistant SENDCO / Learning Support Assistant for a secondary school in Edgware, North London. This permanent role combines Assistant SENDCO responsibilities with direct learning support and targeted interventions, supporting pupils with additional needs while contributing to the wider SEND provision within the school.

Qualifications

• SENDCO or Assistant SENDCO experience or substantial SEND support background.
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and leadership.
• Proactive, patient and compassionate approach to supporting pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support the SENDCO in coordinating and delivering SEND provision.
• Provide targeted learning support and interventions.
• Work with students one-to-one and in small groups to aid progress.
• Assist with identifying and reviewing pupils' learning needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and senior leadership to implement support strategies.
• Develop and deliver individualised learning plans and interventions.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Promote an inclusive, positive learning environment.
• Contribute to ongoing SEND development within the school.
