Job summary

London South East Academies Trust in Hastings is seeking an Assistant SENCo to work with our SENCo and leadership team, helping identify, monitor and provide for SEND across the school.

You will collaborate with pupils, families and external agencies, support EHCP processes and annual reviews, monitor student progress and coordinate Teaching Assistant support, with a commitment to helping every learner achieve their full potential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.
• GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English (Level 2).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with pupils, families, staff and external agencies
• Support EHCP processes and annual reviews
• Monitor student progress and interventions
• Help coordinate Teaching Assistant support and SEND provision
