Job summary

The Limes College in Sutton is seeking an Assistant SENCo to join our SEND Team and support the SENCo with coordinating provision for students with SEND, compiling evidence and advising parents through the statutory assessment process.

The post will monitor and review SEND interventions, ensure high standards of learning and achievement for all students, and contribute to shaping practice and assessment within the College.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at A–C or equivalent.
• SALT qualification (Speech and Language Therapy) and/or equivalent.
• Experience delivering speech and language sessions in a school.
• Experience writing statutory assessment reports / SEND reports.
• Willing to complete ELKLAN qualification.
• Good communication skills with staff, students, parents and professionals.

• Assist the SENCo with coordination of SEND provision.
• Compile evidence and advise parents through the statutory assessment process.
• Establish, monitor and review SEND interventions.
