A supportive and inclusive primary school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant SENCO to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to support the school’s SEND provision, working closely with the SENCO to ensure that every child receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

Role Highlights:

• Full-time, permanent position at a well-respected primary school in Southwark
• Support the SENCO in overseeing the identification, assessment, and support of pupils with SEND
• Work with teachers and support staff to implement effective SEN strategies and interventions
• Assist in coordinating EHCPs, one-to-one support, and targeted learning programmes

Experience & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with students with SEND, ideally in a primary setting
• Strong understanding of SEN policies, EHCP processes, and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students and staff
• National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable
• Enhanced DBS check required
