A vibrant secondary school in Kingston is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant SENCO to join their team. This role offers an incredible opportunity to shape SEN provision and make a lasting impact on students’ educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the SENCO to deliver and coordinate exceptional SEN support across the school.
2. Identify and assess students with SEN, developing tailored interventions to meet their needs.
3. Create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) with input from teachers, parents, and external professionals.
4. Lead targeted interventions, including small group and one-to-one sessions, to enhance students’ academic and social skills.
5. Monitor and evaluate the progress of SEN students, sharing insights with staff and families.
6. Support teachers in adapting their teaching approaches to ensure inclusivity and accessibility in the classroom.
7. Contribute to the planning and management of SEN resources and school-wide inclusion initiatives.
