Job summary

St John's School in Kempston is seeking an Assistant SENCo to support the coordination, administration and quality assurance of EHCP processes across the school.

Working under the Deputy Headteacher, SENCo and SLT, the postholder will help ensure that annual reviews are completed within statutory timescales; that EHCP paperwork, outcomes, targets and provision are clear and matched to pupils' needs; and that provision is understood by staff and reflected in curriculum planning and day-to-day

Qualifications

• EHCP coordination experience preferred
• Experience supporting SEN provision (use of equivalent terms)
• Ability to work under direction within a school setting

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer EHCP processes across the school and QA annual reviews to meet statutory timescales.
• Support staff in understanding EHCP provision and ensure it is reflected in curriculum planning and classroom practice
