Job Description:

Thornleigh Salesian College is seeking a full-time, permanent Assistant School Business Manager. This role involves managing financial systems, budgeting, premises, facilities, and health and safety, supporting the School Business Manager in strategic financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in school finance, health and safety, and practical experience in a busy school finance environment, including order and invoice processing, budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting. They should be able to communicate complex financial information effectively and support health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and monitoring the delegated budget, entering spending plans into the FMS system, and producing reports.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and submit returns to the LA.
  • Support health and safety and compliance efforts.
  • Deputise for the School Business Manager when needed.
