As an Assistant Retail Warehouse Manager, you'll oversee the day shift operations at the distribution center. Your primary objective will be to efficiently lead the team, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate keen attention to detail and prowess in enhancing operational effectiveness. Working collaboratively with the broader management team, you'll take charge of the operations team, overseeing tasks including goods intake, outbound shipments, and breakdown operations. This role involves supervising approximately six to ten team members.

Preferred candidates will have prior experience in warehouse or distribution settings. However, the company welcomes individuals with backgrounds in retail management who are looking to transition their careers. Whether you have experience in food retail, DIY, or high-volume high-street retail, a solid understanding of stock management is paramount. The role emphasizes strong managerial skills, encompassing absence management, performance evaluations, and staff motivation.

The offered basic salary for this position is up to £33,000. Shift patterns follow a four-on, four-off rotation, totaling a 38.5-hour workweek. Additionally, there's a performance-based bonus of up to 10% of your salary.
