What you'll bring to the team

We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Retail Assistant Operations Manager to join the team at Warwick Castle. This is your chance to play a key role in one of the UK’s most iconic attractions, supporting the Commercial Manager to lead our retail operation across up to 9 outlets, deliver unforgettable guest experiences and drive commercial success.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and motivating a team of Retail Team Leaders and Hosts to deliver world-class service and meet daily revenue targets.
  • Merchandising with flair, ensuring retail spaces are visually stunning and stocked to sell.
  • Taking ownership of daily operations including rota planning, stock control and cash handling.
  • Playing a key part in managing the online shop and driving retail innovation.
  • Acting as Duty Manager on a rota basis.
  • Embedding a culture of safety, compliance and team engagement.
  • Bringing energy, ideas and commercial acumen to maximise sales and boost spend per head.

Warwick Castle is a 64-acre site with units positioned all around this area which has different gradients. The successful applicant would be required to be positioned at all retail outlets and be comfortable in doing so.

This is a fixed-term contract running until May 2026. The role is full-time, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends, bank holidays, and occasional late evenings to support key events such as Halloween, Christmas and stocktakes.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Have proven retail management experience and a track record of motivating teams to success
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Leads by example, with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • Understands what great visual merchandising looks like
  • Food hygiene certificate (although training given)
  • Comfortable being hands-on across a 64-acre site and multiple retail units
