How about a job you could make your own? Something you’d be involved in right from the start, with the opportunity to develop it as far as you want? A role with support if needed, but also the room to make decisions independently. A position you can look back on with pride and a sense of achievement. Plus, this is a daytime venue with no evening shifts, ensuring a great work/life balance.
This site is brand new, and you'll be involved in all aspects of preparing the restaurant for opening. You’ll play an active role in recruiting a team of kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring they are trained and aligned with the business’s vision to provide an outstanding experience. You will also have input into menu development. Once open, the site will be yours on a day-to-day basis, where you'll set the tone for service and standards, run seasonal promotions, and monitor restaurant objectives. Your goal will be to make this one of Norwich’s most loved cafes/restaurants, offering locally sourced, high-quality food. How you achieve this will largely depend on you and your team.
You’ll be an experienced Supervisor or Shift Manager with enough hospitality experience to get started and a desire to take on more responsibility. You should be an advocate of local sourcing and sustainable farming, while also possessing the commercial acumen to run a successful business. You’re likely already working in a role with excellent service and high standards, so those qualities will be second nature to you. You’ll be comfortable leading a team and have a clear idea of what you could accomplish given the opportunity.
